Giving back to the community
Growing up, my mom was always volunteering. Now a retired school teacher living in Bar Harbor, Maine, she has doubled down and volunteers more than ever. When she volunteers she says she feels like she is the one that is getting something because it makes her feel so good. She inspires me.
Part of entrepreneur culture is giving back through mentorship and charitable acts in your community locally and abroad. As I get busier, I don’t want to forget that giving back, especially these days, is so important to do (if you are able). Here is some of the volunteer work that I am most proud of, as these have utilized the skillsets of being an entrepreneur.

Children of Iquitos Food Drive
The first time I went to Iquitos, Peru was in 2017 and I fell in love with the place. It is the largest city in the world that can only be accessed by boat or airplane and it sits deep in the Amazon rainforest. I go back there almost every year.
