I got a prison pen pal named Tacorey Killebrew in 2019 via www.writeaprisoner.com. Letters turned into phone calls turned into a friendship. I started sending him books in prison (the first one being Mind Power by John Kehoe - the greatest book ever!) on philosophy, spirituality, business and entrepreneurship. These are both of our favorite subjects to read about! One day I asked him what he did with all the books and he said that he just kept them. We came up with the idea of handing them out to other prisoners and starting a book club where they would read the books and then write book report reflecting on their experiences from the content. The book reports get mailed in and we post them on the website. We have distributed over 100 books and Tacorey serves as a true leader in his community.
