Big news from the Enlightened Remodeling team! We are officially bringing home three Housing Excellence Awards from the Builders Association of Metropolitan Pittsburgh (BAMP) this year. Winning three awards in one go is a massive deal for us.  It’s been a lot of hard work coming together that made this a breakthrough year for us, and we’re stoked that the judges loved these projects as much as we loved building them. Here is a quick look at the winners:

The All-Black Bathroom

Most people play it safe with white tile, but we went the opposite direction. This bathroom is completely blacked out with dark walls, moody floors, but a pop of color through some natural wood to keep it from feeling like a cave. The end result is hands down one of the most dramatic spaces we've ever built.

The Mid-Century Kitchen

This kitchen is all about that green tile. We used a custom tile pattern switching on and off with small 1" squares and 6" long rectangles that blends nicely with the custom Amish cabinets that we used throughout the space. Warm cabinets went well with the goldhadrware we selected and reeded glass above helped bounce around incoming sunlight throughout the kitchen to make it feel bright and spacious. It's bright, functional, and definitely doesn’t look like every other kitchen on the block.

The "Everything" Basement

We turned this basement into the ultimate hangout spot. It’s got a brick-ceiling wine cellar that looks like it belongs in Europe, a dedicated theater room with huge lounge seats for movie nights, and a full second kitchen. This is where I would want to host my pool parties!

We are beyond proud of our team for pulling these off, but we’re just getting started! We’ve got some even bigger award-winning projects in the works right now so next year, we will win them all!
